Band Director · Bountiful High School
Branson Bell, band director at Bountiful High School, was named a Davis Education Foundation Teacher of the Year — and the news came mid-performance, when the superintendent and district officials walked onstage to surprise him in front of his students. After his family joined him, Young Kia general manager Dallin Breshears handed over the keys as the crowd erupted. “I am beyond the capability of having emotion right now,” Bell said afterward. Young Caring For Our Young was proud to help celebrate his dedication to his students and his craft.
Math Instructor · Mount Ogden Junior High
Rob Bennington, a 7th-grade teacher at Mount Ogden Junior High, was named the Ogden School District Teacher of the Year — surprised by a staged fire drill that led his class to the baseball field, where a drum line, fire truck, and community partners were waiting to reveal his new vehicle. “To see that the community is supporting teachers… it’s nice to get that recognition out there,” Bennington said. Young Caring For Our Young was honored to help recognize an educator who shows up every day for his students.
