Helping turn wishes into reality, Young Powersports and the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation partnered with Make-A-Wish Utah to provide Wish Kid Gavin with an ATV on Feb. 11.

“I think him looking forward to something good, him looking forward to an exciting time and feeling optimistic about getting better and getting back to the land and enjoying [the] outdoors gave him a reason to keep fighting and keep going,” said Diana, the mother of the recipient.

During the surprise celebration, Gavin, age 17, walked with his family to the white glove area of the dealership to receive the vehicle. There, he was provided with a 2024 Suzuki Kingquad as well as a helmet, gloves, goggles, riding boots and off-road apparel.

“What I love about this effort is that it ties our operation’s passion for giving back with the one we have for our professions,” said Jeramie Young, director of Young Powersports. “What drives us every day is the opportunity to set people up for great rides and new adventures. I can’t think of a more meaningful way to do that than this.”

Make-A-Wish Utah has purchased vehicles from Young Powersports in the past. The effort adds to other charitable initiatives the dealership group has engaged in, including last October’s third annual Power Up Against Teen Homelessness event — where they provided over 400 backpacks filled with living essentials to teen drop-in centers throughout Utah.

In their January 2025 issue, Powersports Business magazine recognized Young Powersports’ XL Centerville location in the community service category of their “Best-In-Class” list. The dealership’s service department and new unit sales operation were honored as well.

Young Powersports engages with the Young Caring for Our Young Foundation on each of their philanthropic efforts. A charitable nonprofit that was founded by the Young Automotive Group, the organization has donated approximately $7 million since its 2007 inception.

“We’re always grateful to work with incredible partners like Young Powersports and Make-A-Wish Utah,” said Tami Olsen. “They’re organizations who share our ambition to spread good across our communities. Being able to see the reactions today have been priceless, and these moments wouldn’t be possible without them.”
