Young Caring for Our Young, the Show Up Utah team, volunteers and donors shop for 36 students in need.

LAYTON, Utah – Hosted at the Davis Conference Center, Young Caring for Our Young was the service sponsor for the One Utah Summit on May 1-2. Event attendees assembled over 1,000 hygiene kits for the 1,600 students experiencing homelessness in the Davis School District.

Held by Utah governor Spencer Cox, the summit is described as “Utah’s premier event” for bringing community members and leaders together. The event is held in both the spring and fall, with hosting areas changing between northern and southern Utah.

Following the event, Utah’s first lady Abby Cox, the Show Up Utah team, volunteers and generous donors used the KIND Fund to shop for clothing and shoes for 36 children in need — helping students who attend schools Davis, Ogden, Weber and Cache County.
