I love serving on the board of Young Caring For Our Young.  Some of the most rewarding experiences that I have had are shopping for kids in need with the KIND fund. The KIND fund is a great opportunity for me to share with my kids the needs of the youth in the community.  We were able to go shopping for a youth, at the request of their teacher, indicating what the child needs. It was great to personalize our efforts for a child with specific needs.  It was an eye-opening experience for my kids to hear about the personal struggles of a youth in their community and how we could help them by purchasing the items.  I have also loved the connections to the community with the homeless teen initiatives in Davis and Weber County school districts.  Making hygiene kits and snack bags for teens in need has been very rewarding for me and my family.  I think this is a great organization and I love all the good that Young Caring For Our Young is doing for the youth in our community
